Methanol. Metal band from finland. Been together since summer of 2003. Three 16 year old players.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Year 2001, 7. th grade. Two boys (Aku Asikainen, Riku Hyötyläinen)started to play in schools music class. The wanted to start the band. After a while the band was made...Riku H:Drums. Aku A:Bass. Lauri K:Guitar. Joonatan D:Vocals. We played in school one times a week, we got our own rehearsal time. After about year one boy joined us, and startes to play guitar #2. Summer 2003 we got our own rehearsal place, and then we started to play every day. After a while Joonatan (vocals) and Lauri (solo guitar) were fading away from the band. Only Three of us stayed. Our bass player Aku started to play and sing at the same time and he become our new singer-basist. Now Riku Hyötyläinen, Aku Asikainen and Juho Salmi are playing still in the rehearsel place and we practise about 2 to 6 times a week...
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
If we can, ofcourse. We have played few times live, in our school, but we wanted to play more live.
