Your musical influences
I have drawn from so many that it would be too time consuming. If I had to narrow it down, I'd say they were my Uncle Patrick (who taught himself to play jazz piano), my cultural upbringing (family is from Kingston, JA), my classical music training and church playing. Artists that have influenced me are: Roy Ayers, Gamble and Huff, the Motown era (all artists), Quincy Jones, Joe Sample, Stevie, Luther, Marvin Gaye, Patrice Rushen, S.O.S.,EWF, M. Jackson,Run DMC....you see, I could keep goin' on and on and on.What equipment do you use?
Cubase SX is my main program. I have a variety of soft and hard synths.Anything else?
I would say to those that are endeavoring to pursue this music thing: DON'T GIVE UP!!!
