I was born in West Virginia and moved to South Florida with my family at an early age. I'm a singer/musician (primarily a bass player) and songwriter. I started playing in bands as a teenager but stopped when I was around 22 to become a regular citizen with a real job and concentrate on my wife of 2 years. 2 years later I was divorced but I got a lot of song ideas.
In 1989 I found the wonderful woman (Sherry) with 2 terrific children (Candace and Jarrod) that became my second wife a year later. With the tremendous support I received from Sherry I was able to bring music back to my life. I formed The Big Dogs with my good friend Marco Cocchiaro and we started collaborating as songwriters. We got a spec deal (record for free) from the now defunct Quadradial Studios in Miami and recorded 10 songs with Mauro Magellan (drummer for the Georgia Satellites) and Steve Parke (on Hammond Organ). When we weren't able to solicit interest for the project in Nashville (too rock for country, too country for rock), we got discouraged and took a break. We came back together from our extended hiatus in 2004. Since then we've been playing at local and regional venues, festivals, sporting events and corporate functions and have started writing and recording new songs. I'm hoping that the new attitudes about music genres and sites like Soundclick will help give The Big Dogs another chance to be recognized by music fans.
