About Me
2017 We are now in a different age of Hip-hop where mumble rappers and Drill music have become mainstream and the artist are placed at the top of the chain in the industry. A tactic by "The Powers That Be" to limit and manipulate the thoughts of the population. The essence of Hip-hop and the Rap industry was founded on creative witty lyrics, empowering subject matter, and a means of teaching and informing the world of the poverty and violence in our communities to try and uplift each other in the face of adversity. A war "Cry" for awareness to get the help needed to make change. What it has become (due to manipulation) is the glorification of violence, disrespect to the women of which which we have come from, and a lack of respect for the soulful genre's that helped lead to Hip-Hop/Rap to begin with. I won't be ignorant of the fact so decided to make this album as an Ode to the "Emcee" which blends lyricism, emotion, and history to create what I deem a "Classic". (Not 9/10/11 "3 minute" songs including interludes claiming to be an album like many of the artist of today) This is a full 16 track album with no interludes, rich/dynamic lyrics, motivation, and history lost to us. A beginning, an awakening, and a call to action. Album Produced by Platinum producing artist "Jan Branicki" Dreamlifebeats and my friend and mentor Izzy Izzm (The intro song "No Intervention"). All of my rap vocals were written and performed by myself and the album was mixed and mastered by CL McCoy. Songs of Interest based on category: Motivational- "Black Roses", "If I Try" Lyricism- "No Intervention", "Ode2Greats", "36 Chambers", "My Domain" Enlightenment- "Shadows" Faith- "Black Man" ft. K-Rino of Southpark Coalition Mainstream Single- "Surfs Up" ft Tre' Thib, "Mr. Propane" Club Joint- "Nightshift" Classic Vibe- "Time Capsule" ft Dat Boy Trewf Just Riding- "Rocking With The Best" Relationship- "By Your Side", "Addicted" Father-to-Son- "Best Dad" Let me know what you guys and gals think of the individual tracks, album as a whole, and what you would like to hear more of in the future. Lets get this album to the top of the Soundcloud charts and show that "Lyricism", "Emotion", and "Spiritual Motivation" is still valued and greatly missed in the genre. Album release date: 27 October 2017
