I'm a Singer-Songwriter who loves playing live and recording original songs on my Boss Micro-BR 4-track. My style is mainly acoustic-based Brit-Pop, with some folk, psychedelia, rock and blues thrown into the mix. My main aim though is to write great songs, no matter what the style. It's a magic formula you really have to work at (unless you're Burt Bacharach or Brian Wilson...).

All the songs I post are predominately written and played by me, but I'm lucky to have worked with some great musical collaborators including Mike Fife, James Higgins, Marcelo Prive, Mike McGrath, Dave Berry, Mark Ros, and Bodie Sickler. Thanks guys!

I'm also guitarist & co-songwriter in the band Jemima's Kite, with James Higgins, Mike Fife & Geir Alfsen (See 'Sound Stations' below). We're currently working on our 6th album.

Jemima's Kite - Live at Korks Wine Bar, Otley. From left to right: Tim Green, James Higgins. James Fife and Mike Fife (Geir Alfsen not pictured)
A very important compilation: This was a very important K-Tel compliation that introduced me to some amazing new bands in 1981. I was already aware of several songs on there, but there were some unknown gems too. Plus a few duff ones! The thing that annoyed me though was the fact K-Tel would edit the songs to make them shorter! Madness. Still some of my favourite bands and songs...
' Oh, The Drama! ': A new album for June 2013. I'm going to stop posting descriptions and tracklistings for albums as they come out though. There are just too many, and nobody's looking anyway.
Cigar Box Guitar: Here's what I made at a cigar-box guitar workshop run by Chickenbone John. It sounds amazing.
New Album - 'Bona Fide But Blue': Sixteen new originals plus a Marc Bolan cover. There's a lot of genre-hopping on this album: jazz, psych, retro electronica, reggae, rock, folk, pop, surf-rock, and acoustic ballads. And I play quite an array of instruments: guitars, bass, uke, harmonica, slide guitar, keyboards, percussion, and lots of orchestration (including plenty of brass). The title track is my favourite song (so far!) of any that I've written over the years.
New Album - Cadeaux Macabre: Written and recorded in 3 weeks, a new collection of 12 originals and one cover. I play a lot of instruments on this one: guitars, bass, piano, mandolin, uke, autoharp, keyboards, and various orchestration. There's a lot of dark weirdness at play in these songs, plus folk(ish) leanings, heavy rock, pyschedelia, and melancholic balladry. Quite a heady and eclectic brew.

Song list...

1. Ooh La La at the Absinthe Bar
2. Memento Mori
3. Glass Jaw
4. Cadeaux Macabre
5. The Baker’s Last Lament
6. Weird Me Out (You Beardy Weirdy)
7. A Pocketful of Ravens in the Snow
8. Razors in the Candy
9. Pathogen
10. Hold Me Now (Thompson Twins Cover)
11. Gimme Some Blues that I Can Use

love you greeny more than I had ever hoped possible. you have shown me what I never thought I would see and I am only grateful I had a chance to share it with you. I would go through all my painful past again to have the love of you and my boys. Now let's move on, looking forward.

I posted a link to Sea Change on my Facebook page, I noticed it's shot back up in the charts to #13 in two days after going dormant.
I am surprised at the impact of the link. Glad I could help.

I am loving all your stuff. Are your albums available anywhere a Yank copuld find them?

Best wishes.
