Hello and welcome to my page. I write music and play various types of guitar, bass and dobro, also playing some keyboards, flute and mandolin. I'm interested in all kinds of music, anything well done. My main musical goal is getting my music performed and heard.

I've been playing in 2 bands that feature my music - Altitude Control and Flying Frogs. Altitude Control plays a style we call 'rock fusion' (for lack of a better term....). Flying Frogs is an acoustic-based trio playing a wide variety of music, entering the realms of jazz, classical, folk, rock and blues. I also play solo guitar & like accompanying vocalists.

Both of these groups have pages on Soundclick, just follow the links on this page. You can also check out my Reverb Nation page at:

I hope you have a chance to listen to my songs & thanks for the visit.

Michael's Workshop - My Classical & World Music : I've also got a site where I'm posting my Classically-based music, also with some in more of a World music style. The site is called Michael's Workshop. You can go there by following this link:

where you will find a player with several of my compositions in these styles. There's also a link to Michael's Workshop on Facebook.
Mystical Peghead!: Posted a new song I wrote called 'Clavileño' inspired by the story of that magical peghead horse.

This song makes free use of different meters, having over 30 meter changes within it's 5 or so minutes. The challenge was to make it rock. With the help of drummer Don Shearer, I think we managed it. What do you think? You can listen to Clavileño at:
New version of 'Keep It True' posted: Just posted a new version of my song 'Keep It True' at:
Some of you may have listened to the version posted here on Soundclick on my Flying Frogs site - this for acoustic & nylon-string guitars and fretless bass. The new version is expanded and scored for Oboe, Cor Anglais, Cello, Steel drums and Sitar. Gives it a different flavor, I think.
Wish you and your family a Happy New Year. I’m looking forward to hearing what you have in store for us in 2014. Peace and Health, Al
