Egyptian Carnaval in Top 10 on Classical & Symphonic charts: Egyptian Carnaval is a symphonic poem illustrating a year of struggle of the Egyptian people ending with 4 great days from 30 June to 3 July 2013. About 30 million Egyptian citizens went down the streets to show their solidarity against the new regime that took power after the January revolution 2011. The president refused to step down. Instead, he threatened that there will be blood shed.
The Egyptian army intervened to save the country and prevent civil war. Egypt celebrated that night with moments of overwhelming joy.
Thanks to all listeners and to all supporters of free Egypt.
Jubilant Egypt #1 on Main Classical chart: Good News, "Jubilant Egypt" has reached the top of the main classical chart, thanks to all listeners. Interestingly, the common keyword used in the comments on this music was "uplifting". In fact, this is one of the rarest "moods" of music and also hardest to compose. It is really rewarding and, in contrast to other "moods", gives a positive feeling of achievement compared to "sad", "romantic" or "dramatic" for example. Thanks again to all friends and artists who cared to listen to "Jubilant Egypt".
My best wishes to all.
Ousama Afifi, EG Music.
Jubilant Egypt #1 on Classical General chart: Jubilant Egypt is a cheerful music expressing celebrating atmosphere "supposed" to be there in Egypt after the "success" of its people's revolution in Jan 2011. The words between brackets indicate that the time of real victory has not come yet. However, artist's view of that atmosphere is ready in the background. When time tells us that the revolution has achieved its full goals then it will have reached real success. Thanks for all fellow artists & friends for the kind support, to both the county & the music.
Bridge Battle #1 on Contemporary Classical chart: Thanks for your support. Bridge Battle is a totally new music to Egyptian native music. It is more of a soundtrack to a real event, the battle on the bridge "Qasr Ennile", in English means Nile Palace, won by unarmed Egyptian youth against the ruthless armed police forces that used extreme violence to crush the protesters.
On the "Anger Friday" police forces retreated & completely collapsed in a few hours of confrontation. They ran away & disappeared from the streets of Cairo, but not without a price; many lives were lost & thousands wounded in the battle for freedom.
Arab Spring reaches #1 on World Charts: Arab Spring reaches #1 on World Charts.
Thanks to all friends & respected musicians in SoundClick.
Must mention, that our fiend Falch has predicted this result a few days ago. I wonder how he feels now with his expectation is fulfilled!
I received many comments from our dear musician on Arab Spring, all were very encouraging & sincere. I feel I can not do without them.
Arab Spring as our friend Alexanderport said is a reflection of Egypt 2012, with the first democratic presidential election is taking place. I consider this the most valuable fruit of the Arab Spring. Let us hope with millions of people for a better future.
Journey of the Egyptian Obelisks in Top 10 world general chart: "Journey of the Egyptian Obelisks" by EG Music has climbed to Top 10 on world general chart on SoundClick.
The music is a combination of atmospheric & soundtrack sound effects, plus a popular eastern melody that that may reflect the wonderful popularity of these obelisks allover the world.. just about every body loves them and every city wishes an Obelisk stands at its heart!
Happy New Year 2012 to all friends on SoundClick
Bridge Battle in Top 10 Classical general chart: Bridge Battle, though classical, is a totally new music to Egyptian native music. It is more of a soundtrack to a real event, the battle on the bridge "Qasr Ennile" won by unarmed Egyptian youth against the ruthless armed police forces that used extreme violence to crush the protesters.
On the "Anger Friday" police forces retreated & completely collapsed in a few hours of confrontation. They ran away & disappeared from the streets of Cairo.
Sphinx Tale enters Top 10 on Classical Charts: It's really pleasing that some musical work could join the top 10 in a main genre. It simply means it could stand for its sub in the main.
I am not sure how new symphonic music may be perceived by listeners nowadays. We used to "define" symphonic works as those extended works by the great classical composers in the last centuries.
However, as a type of music, I feel the symphonic structure is one of the best to give the music full dimensional expression, hence it shouldn't really disappear from our musical experience. After all, music is known to be the universal language of the world and that is a good reason to give it all the tools & means for true & fulfilled expression.
Sphinx Tale in Top 10 on Symphonic chart: Thanks to all listeners, Sphinx Tale has entered the Top 10 on the Symphonic chart at SoundClick. It's my first symphonic upload to the classical charts. According to friends suggestions, the music sounds more like a movie soundtrack. Well, they have also advised that a bigger orchestra should perform it.
I am really glad to hear such comments from our friend artists here. I think without their advice I could feel really lonely. Thanks a lot to every listener who gave their precious time for a serious listen.
Sphinx Dance enters Top 10 on world charts: Thanks for all listeners & fans.. you made my day
Sphinx Dance presents a unique experience in mixing classical style with Egyptian folk.
It has been #1 on Traditional Arabic charts for a while before entering the Top 10 on world charts..
Very pleased to hear the news I am very grateful to all who gave the time & showed the interest.. cheers

And I wish you, your family and all Egyptians all the best for 2014.

Hi Ousama,
Thank you very much for your kind comments on "Avondwake" and "Train Spy" and for your station add.

How is life in Egypt nowadays? I don't hear very much about it, but that's maybe a good sign.

Best wishes and many greetings from Belgium,
Alexander.
