Thanks for finding my latest song, "Walden Woods" with your kind comments and station add it makes it worth it, Al. Walden is a great area in Concord, Massachusetts. It has a lake for swimming, many trails for hiking and the woods with rest area to just sit and reflect on things. My main idea for that song came from a recent visit. I just sat on a bench and enjoyed the fresh dry air and cool breezes.

Have a great weekend too!

Al Ive a new tune up...its rather special cause Its got a sax sound to really make it sound FLOYDIANESQUE and yet Faunaserene signature.......but Im excited cause the sax on my keys sends me into an altered state...I love its sound... its a sound in MELlotron Pro.. I love it!!!!!!So the name of new tune is SAILING INTO A CONSCIOUS SPACE....Im never quite sure what genre to put my songs in....I have a name I made up ATMOSPHERIQUE DRAMATIQUE.THe song slipps in and out of THE TREE HEART in the melody..that surprised me......which makes it all the more special cause thats one of my favorites by me..
and when you have time Id love your on how I could possibly do better on my next song with sax sound to make it sound more authentic.....Actually Id love you to play on a song for me when I get it constructed if you are interested....I love the sax sound.....and I feel it could be very complementary to my music.~Kath

Hi Al
Thanks for your heartwarming words/stationads on my latest my friend.
I'm not quit there yet with the final master. First time I did the mix with my new studio-monitors. Wanted to have a nice and fat bass foundation in the groove for this one and it sounds good on my speakers but when I run it with my T-rex masteringtool the peak-meters went bananas... what do you think - should I cut down the lower end and compress it more? Does the track has to much bass? Or should I keep it like it is?

Talk soon

Wow Al,
I'm really honored by your choice of "Sad song that I like". That made me listen in a different way to "Down in my Soul". And now I remark it's indeed a sad song. Maybe rhythms and grooves make it lighter.

Right now I'm listening to your list. "Evolution" is starting very sad too, but when fast rhythms come in it moves more to the background and slowly disappears.

"Transmutation" is a remarkable one too, good that you found it in your archives. I understand that you couldn't join the Challenge with it because of the rules. "Evolution" has got the same vibe for me, especially in the second half of it (is it your momentary mood?).

I guess you have got more pearls in your archives ready to discover.........

Enjoy your coming week, my friend,

Hi Al,

Thank you for the cool L&C on "Moonseed" - always appreciated Professor! How is the new DAW coming along? I saw what you did on Alex's page regarding 'an example of a somber track you like'. That was very cool!
