The Escape Engine originally began in January 2000 as a side project of guitarist George Leontaris, of Two Weeks From Tomorrow, and vocalist Dom Lettera. While on hiatus from Two Weeks From Tomorrow, Leontaris and Lettera wrote several songs that explored what they had envisioned The Escape Engine to be - explosively gripping indie music.
