First Friday began when songwriter/singer/guitarist Ben Rathbun joined up with bassit Yari Sigal, drummer Will Rafelson, and guitarist Max Glantzman to write some catchy rock songs and provide an alternative to a music scene dominated by jam bands at Brandeis University.
Alternative power pop with a nod to The Beatles Rocktopus loves to play. Rocktopus loves to record. We can't think of a better job than this one. And we use the word 'job' loosely because we sleep until noon and nobody ever yells at us because we lost the keys to the forklift.
