This group formed as a request from Dennis Nultemeier to play a charity event for a local car club in support of the Community Food Bank. Three of us had never worked together before but we all felt that this was a worthy cause for us to support. Who knows? Maybe someday we'd need the food bank services ourselves; after-all we are musicians! We

Founded by Andy Barry & Tom Enochs in Jan 1987. Performing in Tucson. The was formed from the remnants of the bar (Tucson, AZ) the first weekend of that year; this was after, , had just completed a year of grueling duty there. the Shades Band consisted of family members Bob Greene (guitar/vocals), Janet Greene (vocals) and their son, Andy (drums/vocals). Andy Barry on bass & backup v The Shades performed in the Tucson area from late 1990 until mid 1992. Highlights of my tenure with the group included a TV performance on Dan Harrigan's TV program, in Hollywood, CA. The kids there loved us! We were afraid they wouldn't know or understand our music, but not only did they know it... but they knew all the dances to go...
