Thom Dowd (alias Thomas Coard) was born in Michigan U.S.A. and has been living Switzerland since 1978. He teaches recorder at the Conservatory of Fribourg. Thom studied early music and recorder at Oakland University in Michigan with Lyle Nordstrom before going on to the Musik Akadamie in Basel Switzerland where he studied with Michael Piguet.
After 27 years of teaching Thom started recording renaissance multi-voice music with a computer. This
