Singapore Polytechnic Concert Band was 
formed in 1972 with only 6 members. Since then, the band has transformed from a brass band to a military band before assuming its present form as a 
concert band. In 1st September 2005, it was re-named the Singapore Polytechnic Symphonic Band.
