A student, all-female string quartet from Montréal, Québec, Canada. Based in Montréal, Canada, the Alaya String Quartet is comprised of four young women studying at l'Université de Montréal. In this age of digital perfection, I thought I'd share my live performances, which though not immaculate, do seem to capture the spirit of the moment which is often missing in studio spliced recordings. Simon Daum, New Age Classical Composer and pianist Simon Daum is a young composer from Germany. His musicial training includes two years of piano lessons which he took when he was about 8 years of age. In addition to that he also played the trumpet for a few years.
