The Spikedrivers are the Original American Roots Revivalists, paying homage to the musical sounds learned through the recordings of Louis Jordan, Woody Guthrie, The Spikedrivers started in Feb. '03 as an acoustic trio named The Highwayneers. Our group was inspired by the success of our live performances and immediately realized a niche previously unfulfilled in the local music scene in Columbus, Ohio. It was the result of another band called Hurricane Winds going on hiatius so we fused Hurricane Winds with other bands Stoned Pot and Blowing Trees and work out of a homemade studio.
