Black 47

Black 47 is a political rock band with Irish roots. Based currently out of New York City, the band is touring nationally.

Led by Irish author, playwright, and songwriter Larry Kirwan, Black 47 broke onto the scene with a CD produced by The Cars' Rick Ocasek and raucous, heartfelt, and intelligent performances. Years of relentless touring and nine albums later, the band has become a cornerstone of modern Celtic rock.
