hey Steve, if you get a chance we did JL's 'gimme some truth' with maybe a little trepidation and against Clint Eastwood's sage advice, lol - I've only remixed it like 15 times, lol and that's not an exaggeration, haha!

Cheers Steve, thanks again mate ! So appreciated. The Boyce & Hart track isn’t a Monkees song (it sounds like it is but that’s because it’s written in same style as they did for the songs they actually wrote for the TV show and band). Cheers!

Thanks so much mate for your visit and cool words, cheers! - yes, we wanted to really capture the feel of the skulduggery and espionage elements of that particular spy show - I've soaked up the episodes like a sponge over last couple of weeks and altho season 5 is a bit of a let down to the other four, it's still been a great series to watch.
Thanks again Steve!

Hey Steve yes thanks for the nudge - I haven’t been around on SC for a while so sorry for lack of response 😟
I’m working on yet another new album - just on song 6 of 10 now so it should be ready in a couple of months.
Just listened to your latest - fantastic work my friend keep it up!

Hi Steve, I'm always on the look out for a quirky new song to cover. Medicine by Matt Berry might be next.
As well as being a great comedy actor (The IT Crowd, Toast Of London and lots more) he's also a very fine multi-instrumentalist, song writer and singer.

Thank you so much for the mention in the song details, a very nice surprise! It was entirely your own skills that nailed it, but thanks for inviting me to get involved...you know how much I enjoy it!

I went and listened to multiple versions of the original and you have done a fantastic job. Very good guitar parts and you nailed them.

Thanks for checking out my new one and commenting on song page. Woohoo.
On the guitars. I don’t have a pickup on Martin. So for plugged in it’s Taylor. Taylor’s are known for ease of playability but my d35 is actually easier. Sure a setup would bring Taylor in line. In terms of recording I used both lately but more often than not I will record with d35 just using vocal mic.
I like the d35 recorded sound better.
A good friend of mine will go to buy a Taylor and will wind up buying some new Martin. My brother who is at your level is Martin all the way. My taylor 214 is as easy to play as an electric. But bright tinny sound. The 814 is like a cannon. I used to go to Martin fest and people open their cases and you can play anything you want and I have played every Martin known to man including 1930 era martins. And I always come away liking my d35 the best. But my setup is fantastic. Oh last thing. Martin is much more picky about climate changes Taylor seems to care less.

Thanks so much Steve and great that you prevailed! Steve 1, Technology 0 ! really appreciate your visits and comments mate, and so great to hear you're doing 'can't find my way home' - this was my most played song on Spotify couple of years back, the Colin Hay version, Hay is one of the best musicians (and human being) on earth, he's stellar! Came by way of Winwood with 'arc of a diver' and stuck around thru to 'higher love' and 'roll with it' - it was the 80's and Winwood's use of synths (and slick production) worked so so well with his brilliant voice and his ability to create great melodies, - can't wait for your version mate, very excited! Cheers!
