COLD DARK TRAIN is Rick Mattingly-lead vocal- Mike Copp-bass- Scott Baroniecki-guitar and vocal-Tony Remsen-keys,harmonica, -Joe Gatti-drums!!! Blend hard driven blues tones with the dark menacing undercurrent of dirty rock-n- roll and you have the sound of a... COLD DARK TRAIN! From its inception the sound of the band was created with one foot in the future and one foot squarely in the past. With the tone and swagger of the big blues bands from decades ago, and the spirit and emotion of modern times, COLD DARK TRAIN transcends time by blending the heart of yesterday with the soul of today. Rick Mattingly and Scott Baroniecki met in 1998.Through the years they played on and off together until in 2011 Scott joined Rick and Joe Gatti in a new project that would later become the current COLD DARK TRAIN. They then added Tony Remsen on keys and harmonica and finally in 2012 they added Mike Copp on bass guitar. The raw emotion is evident through the dynamics of their form and function. Their music takes you on a journey from thunderous highs to rock bottom lows, and everywhere in between. Their sets include their own original work and timeless classics with a CDT twist. Their dynamics define their groove and their groove defines their music.
