Songwriter and musician, Phranc Lamm, was born in Portland, Oregon as Frank Lamb in 1960 and grew up in Tucson, Arizona. He started playing guitar at age 8, early bands included Mad Dog and Invader. In 1983, he co-founded the band UXB which achieved some notoriety on the gulf coast of Mississippi and Florida before disbanding in 1985. Led by singer/guitarist Allie Small, UXB was Phranc’s first exposure to playing original music and songwriting. In Nashville, Phranc found fertile ground for writing music and collaborating; and he worked in his home studio on writing some of his first material soon after moving to Nashville. He played with local band, 'Southern Pride,' led by singer/songwriter Scott Hunt until starting the cover band 'Big FM' in late 2007. This was when Phranc was able to perform his songs, "Propaganda" and "Automatic" live for the first time. Phranc had only recently started to sing regularly, primarily doing only backup vocals in previous bands; but he realized that as a songwriter it would be necessary to be able to perform the songs himself. By late 2010, Phranc had written enough material to record his first CD titled 'Automatika.' It was produced by Thomas Becker and The Record Shop in Hermitage, Tennessee. 'Automatika' was released in April 2011 after 6 months of recording and tweaking. Credits on the CD include Ben Weaver on drums, Peter Keys of Lynyrd Skynyrd and P Funk fame on synthesizer and Zac Forbes on piano.
