Tyjee Eskridge (Born October 18, 1991) otherwise known as BeatDilla, is an American record producer and composer. Dilla was born in Newberry, South Carolina and is the oldest of 3 children. With influences from both his father and uncle (DJ Kidd), Tyjee became an enthusiast of music at a young age. During this time Dilla gained much musical influences from the likes of legends such as Tribe Called Quest, Timbaland, and Master P. During adolescence, BeatDilla was an outstanding drummer and percussionist in school where he received numerous honorary band participation. He was also a member of his High School Marching Band where he excelled and was drum captain of. He later moved to Atlanta, GA and enrolled in school at the Art Institute of Atlanta majoring in Audio Production. Here Dilla began to truly excel in his production craft to go on to produce for artist such as rap legend Pastor Troy, MMG’s Duece Poppi, and many, many more. Currently BeatDilla is in affiliation with Kool Caleb and Kingdom Muzik Studioz, with works in progress with rap icons Gucci Mane and Rocko. STAY TUNED
