In 1991 guitarist Sean Fodor, bassist Earl Tolliver and drummer Darrell Patrick were the Tuesday Night Fusion Party House Band, a rock/funk/jazz instrumental improv based jam night at Martini's in Eastown in Grand Rapids MI. The band never had an official name and never rehearsed or practiced. But every Tuesday they would pack Martini's and wow the crowed with danceable rock fusion jams. It was a very popular night...
By 1992 Sean and bassist Earl Tolliver had talked about recording some of the jams that were packing Martini's, Sean then recruited emerging vocalist Stephani Engman who's vocal skill and style had been compared to great vocalist like Janice Joplin and Grace Slick, the two of them started expanding upon some of the improve jam's and re-writing them into cohesive alternative/rock/pop songs.
Sean then recruited child prodigy drummer Jason Babcock and formed Lektrawyne, a funky fusion of alternative, grunge and rock music. The name "Lektrawyne" is slang for "Electric Whine" a term the bands close friend Kevin Donlon used to describe Sean's guitar sound and style. The band then went on to play around Grand Rapids and even were asked to play the 1992 Reggae Sunsplash in front of a crowd of about 10,000.
The band then went in to the studio to record their debut cassette single which contained 2 songs which subsequently became the only songs and recording that the band ever released:
