Recording artist Dookie Blu is one of the most versatile performers to appear on the music scene in a decade. Recently he has teamed with R&B crooner Ray J on a remix of “Sorry Baby Daddy,” a social commentary on a growing number of deadbeat dads in America and around the world. “Sorry Baby Daddy,” a well-orchestrated and dynamic single, is at # ten on Billboard’s Top 100 singles in hip-hop and R&B, and it will be released September 14, 2012 at digital outlets. This project is the work of platinum-selling producers Duane Da Rock and Q Million. Dookie Blu and Ray J have many surprises on the way for fans in the future. Ray J, a fine actor as well as writer, has also joined forces with comic Rickey Smiley for a television series in which Ray J co-stars and plays the buddy of Smiley, to air on September 18, 2012. Ray J will have his own CD coming out soon. R&B, country, hip-hop, and pop are genres where Dookie Blu continually shows downloads to an eclectic fan-base across America. The Temple, Texas resident is one of the most notable celebrities in this growing community of achievers. “Almost single-handedly, he‘s putting Temple on the music map,” is how one music insider put it. “His drive and motivation are inspirational to fledgling artists and aspiring business enthusiasts. But the road to success hasn‘t always be smooth going for the singer-songwriter. “It hasn’t been easy,” said Blu, a very religious man. “I learned the hard way, spending years in and out of jail because of hanging with the wrong crowd. While I was incarcerated, I made up my mind not to play Dominos or play basketball. I would write music and study books on the music business and marketing and sales. That’s when I wrote the song Sorry Baby Daddy.” Blu’s second single, “Hold On,” a collaboration with Jive Records’ standout Chalie Boy, helped launch him into the international limelight, carving a niche with hip-hop’s elite. Blu’s’ first album, which was recorded in 2009 under a two-year deal with Oarfin/Koch/E1 Entertainment, sold well and continues to sell in 2012 despite a gloomy, unpredictable business climate. Because of it’s overwhelming success, Blu is planning a re-release of Sorry Baby Daddy under Tony Nora Enterprises who will re-release future projects for Blu and many noteworthy names in show business, including Rapper J Byrd, DJ Hurricane (turntable specialist for Beastie Boys), and the Bungalo/Universal Music Group. Through digital distribution, Blu will spread his musical message into the limitless overseas market, including Europe, Africa, Asia, the Pacific and the Atlantic. Utilizing social networking conduits such as Facebook, You Tube, Twitter and lesser-known mediums, Blu plans to reach the moon, if they can, with an assortment of tunes to sing and dance to. Dookie Blu is more than just a creative artist or recording star; he is a force for good in his community, assisting others to better their lives. He considers every one of his achievements to be “a blessing from the Creator.”
