Jay Jay, a journeyman at crafting bass lines and functioning as a timekeeper in the bass traditional role, Jay also possesses a sense of lyricism and melody gained from his bass heroes Stanley Clarke, Jaco Pastorious and others, including non-bass players like Miles Davis and John Coltrane.
Seeking new challenges, Jay formed his group j2 featuring the bass as a lead instrument and some of the most creative musicians playing a blend of traditional Jazz, R&B and Hip-Hop.
