i was Born and raised in Essex, my name is Darren Merrion, i have always had a passion for music and have since become an artist/performer.
I began singing and performing around the tender age of 11, taking part in school performances and talent shows. It wasn't until I left school that I really found my feet musically i went on to college to learn music technology. After three years I received two diplomas in music. During all of this i had been developing my skills as a Human Beatboxer (Vocal Percussionist), using vocal effects to recreate the sound of music, live. This is now one of the skills that sets me apart from most singers / performers.
I have been a singer/songwriter for most of this time and have been very fortunate to have my music played on national radio programs such as: SGR Colchester (Now Heart Fm), Phoenix Fm, Force Fm, Subzero, Rise One, Kiss 100 and BBC Radio 1xtra to name a few. Alongside his radio success I have been fortunate to showcase my talents in various venues across Essex and London with some of the music industries best and well known producers, DJ's and commercial artists.
i have been featured on television shows like Got to dance (Sky one), Britain's Got Talent 2009. I have also done prestigious stage shows such as Breaking Convention 2010 (Sadler's Wells Theatre), Breakout 2010 (Hammersmith Riverside Studios).
