Fifteen year old Joshelyn Shyann Smith started performing at the age of three years old when her mother Regina entered her into a local pageant. Joshelyn fell in love with the stage that day. More importantly, Joshelyn fell in love with singing the day she won the title of Sunburst International Talent Winner at a pageant, when she was only six years old, singing "Broadway Baby". She stopped doing pageants and turned most of her attention to modeling at age seven. She landed a few jobs modeling in print ads and participated in many local fashion shows. Around that time, 9 year old Joshelyn was invited to sing the National Anthem at a Drug Free Rally in Ohio. She knocked it out of the park and astounded the audience with the powerful voice coming out of such a small body. That was when Joshelyn's Mother decided to sign her up for private vocal lessons so she could further expand her career in music.
