Shawn Taylor spent his days growing up moving from city to to city with his family. It made for some hard times changing schools quite a bit; pretty much every few years was a fresh start making it hard to lay down some roots. The fresh starts each time had gotten a little bit harder and through it all it only made him stronger. Shawn would eventually find his roots in music an writing became his anchor.
His father played guitar so there was always music in the house. Shawn gravitated towards music with everything he did. At 6 years old you would either find him dragging his dads old guitar and stuffing his old records into the record player and you could see early on his love for everything music. VEry rarely you would see him with out an old walkman in his ear or the stereo cranked up.
After a year of playing his dads guitar self teaching himself some chords his dad saw right away he had a knack an maybe some ambition for music. at 12 his dad bought him his first guitar and the rest is history. A year later you knew music had turned into his biggest passion and possibly his future as songwriting became his focus opposed to just being a guitar player.
Shawn's struggles he has been through personally, emotionally and financially whether it being love, relationships or raising a family has paved the way for all the inspiration to his songs. Every one of his songs are are full of truth and real life experiences. For Shawn music has always been a struggle between chasing
