Rich McKinney Was born on Dec, 11th, 1972, in North Little Rock, Ar. He began playing the Guitar at age 8, and writing songs at age 7. He's Divorced with 3 kids, and Happily re-married. While his father is a mechanic, Rich Decided Early on that Lyrics and Songs was the road he would travel. His Much older cousin Bud Grindstaff moved to Arkansas from North Carolina when Rich was 9, and Helped Push and point Rich in the roots of Country Music with songs from Hank, Sr., Hank Jr, Waylon, and Johnny Cash. Rich McKinney Has played Venues that include Ms.Kittys, The Buck Board, Blue Bird Cafe, Belt Buckle cafe , and many others. In 2002 Rich Released his Debut C.D. Entitled " Simple Thangs " a collage of songs from the past, & the present. Dealing with subjects as Divorce, Drugs, and Child and spouse abuse, He somehow walks you down the hallway, and shows you the house, before you realize where you're at, and then it's to late, your forced to face the issues at hand once inside. Rich Decided Nashville was to political, and to much Ass Kissing was going on, So he Did it all himself, with the help of his future wife at the time from Graphic layouts, to good friends helping out in the studio, this collection of songs are his. The only ones helping to pick out songs, and sounds ( all written by Rich of course ) where close friends, not some paid staff member, that's paid to pop country.
