Being a Democrat, I didn't have much to do in the early 80's so I picked up the harmonica and rode that little tin sandwich on a wild and weird ride for the next twenty-five years. In the pre internet years the harp was a strange little instrument, an ill wind few blew well and whose secrets were arcane and closely kept by the cogniceti. Along the way I played in several bands, learned guitar, became a passable singer and discovered I could string words together after a fashion. More a story teller than an honest to god musician, I compose and arrange my songs from personal (and sometimes painful) experience. I play and sing about love, life and the way things are as I see them. I'm still a Democrat (it's more fashionable now) and the internet has torn back the veils of the harp's secrets and revealed them to anybody with a mouseclick. But it's also opened up a whole new audience for my humble offerings and I hope you enjoy listening to these little ditties as much as I did making them. Cheers, Gorf PS - I have added a section dedicated to Jim "Sarge" McDonald who can take a ten hole harp and turn it into an orchestra. For lovers of harmonica and authentic country, this is the real deal. Check him out! G

Hello Gant! I hope that everything works well for you. Having less and less time to communicate with all my friends on web because, I guess, you meet many people (too many?) on the boards all across the net. Anyway, I am glad you are still part of the big network so I can, at least, say a warm how do you do!

Thank you all for the kind words and encouragement. I'm working on some new tunes and styles and will add more songs in the coming weeks. I hope they too will make you smile or tap your foot or just scratch your head. Cheers, Gorf

Hey neighbor!! This is the lady across the street. Thanks for a wonderful trip down memory lane and the realization I have a true musician in my block. I still have to listen to them all, but I often sit listening to your music floating gently on an evening breeze and find myself remembering my childhood very fondly.

I have been writing/planning in hopes of recording some new blues material later this fall... if I need a shot of inspiration, I know where to find it... :) TC, Mark
