Composer/lyricist and jazz pianist/teacher Larry Gelb has released a 26-song compilation of some of his most trenchant, witty, and soulful songs in The Larry Gelb Songbook, Volume I essentially a return to American standards. The full release was recorded at Bennett Studios in Englewood, New Jersey. Gelb started playing the piano at age seven. Today, he has written over 800 songs, including work for film scores, musicals, jingles and jazz compositions.
