Brice, OH  USA Joined November11 2007
Began playing bass in 1972 after leaving the Army and spent the next ten yrs in Los Angeles playing the Strip, including as bassist for Blazze (Guitars/lead vocals: Larry Herrera, Drums: Mark Herraras) where we had the privilege of playing with or sharing venues with such bands as Iron Butterfly, Van Halen, Randy Rhoads, Mike Pinera and others. I play rock, fusion, blues and metal. Also collect and play rare Washburn basses (SB-40s, Force 40s) besides my Langcaster bass (35,000 yr old wood) from New Zealand. After trials and tribulations in the business I quit and then had some adventures for about 7 yrs. I then rejoined the military with the National Guard for a great career. During that time I became married, with children, and will retire next year with 28 total yrs in the military. What have I been doing the last 2 years?---focusing on prepping to jump back into music with my bass along with working on my Role Playing Game (Aakkendag) and my card game (medieval fun) called ARMORY. That stuff you can see at www.mekgames.com ! Locally, I have been playing occasionally as a bass soloist and am looking for a good guitarist, long distance (thanks be to the computer!) or otherwise, to collaborate on an album. Name of band: Right Side Eyes and am a member of B.M.I.

Wow-----been away for a looonnng time. Apologies to all who have tried to connect. Just bummed out here as Columbus, Ohio has virtually NO music scene. Even trying to link up with anyone at all just to jam is about hopeless. Craigs List? It is a joke as musicians there rarely ever even answer back. Gotten so bad I have not even picked up my bass in going on 2 months. Pathetic. So...pardon the rant. Hope everyone else is doing better than me here and I send warmest regards to you all. Anyone needing to contact me can at mekentinc@yahoo.com

By the way-----I am desperately searching for a solid and experienced drummer and guitarist (maybe 2) to set up an instrumental, hard hitting rock band here in Columbus, OH. So far all I have seen are cover artists, blues standards artists or others without chops or desire. If you know of anyone who likes to play HARD----tell'em to give me a holler at mekentinc@yahoo.com Influences are Vai, Satriani, Mads Eriksen, Johnson, et al. Thanks

Hi Mark, just admiring your beautiful Langcaster. Hey it LOOKS like a bass, but you get a totally original sound out of it! Do you play fretless at all? I'm not sure you should be let loose on one, though... hahaha Heather

Hi Mark, Hope you are well my friend! ...Well the first track is now up on my artist page...I hope you get the chance to give it a listen - It's a metal soundtrack piece - quite dark and a bit atmospheric, with heavy chugga guitars & stuff! I value your opinion, so would love to know what you think... It's called "Ratchethead" Ratchethead lo-fi URL: http://www.soundclick.com/util/getplayer.m3u?id=7035248&q=lo hi-fi URL: http://www.soundclick.com/util/getplayer.m3u?id=7035248&q=hi ...Cheers in advance for listening - I hope you like it! All the best amigo, ~Clive~

Hi Mark, Thanks for stopping by again, my friend - it's always good to hear from you! :o) I hope you are well and keeping yourself busy. - I have been chocca with working on new material lately - My good friend and superb guitarist Mark Wymer has recently been in the studio with me to work on some new stuff and I'll be posting a couple of the tracks up over the next few days. I'll let you know when it's up... Some of it is rockin' and quite heavy, so hopefully you'll like it! ;o) Anyway, in the meantime...keep pounding that bass of yours & all the best, ~Clive~
