I was born in the Queensland border town of Goondiwindi and my wife Chris and I have four children. I received my education of stock work from a hardened old drover. Chris' dad. These days we live at Bargara. Impressed by the stories told to me, along with the experiences I had, I began trying my hand at writing bush poetry and bush ballads. Between my wife Chris and I we have been Bush Laureate finalists on six occassions with our Bush Poetry and won numerous awards for performance bush poetry, written works and yarn spinning. In 2005/6 I won the Lyrics Only Section of the Northern Territory National Country Music Song Writing Awards. In 2006/2007/2008/2009/2010/2011/2012 and 2013 I gained a total of eighteen nominations in the Lyrics Only Section of the T.S.A. National Country Music Song Writing Awards and won in 2006/2007/2009/2010/2011 and 2013. In August 2006 I released an EP/CD of Bush Ballads called From 'Bard to Balladeer.' In April of 2008 I released a new CD The Storyteller. In 2010 I released two CD's "It's Tough to Be a Kelly" and "Bush Ballads and Verse". I am a member of the Australian Bush Balladeers [ABBA]. My wife and I enjoy performing our show Bush Poetry Ballads and Yarns at various Festivals around the Country. We also have our own web site at www.users.tpg.com.au
