I was born in Hartford and raised in Windsor, Connecticut. I am the second of 11 children. I grew up in a musical family. My dad Alexander Lepak was the head percussionist for the Hartford Symphony Orchestra. He also taught at Hart College of Music, had a drum store, wrote books on percussions and drum set and had a great jazz band. So of course I was playing the drums at an early age. I got my first guitar at age 7 , my hands were too small to play but I definitely had the inspiration. I was on stage at 11 doing the battle of the drums with my dad. As a teenager I played drums in several bands culminating with The Wildweeds. We had a number one hit in New England called “No Good To Cry” I remember coming out of high school, hopping in my car and hearing the radio one again this week; No Good To Cry. Al Anderson, the lead guitar player now writes hits for Tim McGraw, Vince Gill, He started me out with serious guitar lessons in the late sixties. I felt just playing the drums was not creative enough so I started writing with guitar and piano. Around that time I became a disciple of Sri Chinmoy. I became friends with John McLaughlin Carlos Santana who at that time were also disciples. I would hitchhike from Connecticut to New York with a tape recorder and my guitar strapped to my back just in case a new melody would pop in my head. If it sounded catchy to me maybe someone else might like it too. In the early seventies I recorded an original demo. I over dubbed a guitar, vocals and drums. It was called Country Village I had an interview at United Artist with Stu Greenberg. He loved the song and said if I came up with more songs like that he would sign me up. Now days I have a lot of material he would love but UA music no longer exists and Stu is nowhere to be found. I left the Sri Chinmoy Center and went back to the Roman Catholic Church and the Charismatic renewal which inspired me to write some Christian songs. I presently play at restaurants, wineries, etc. and constantly working on CD's of my original music. I am grateful to my wife Barbara, who has been such an inspiration to me and my music and gave a lot of sad songs happy endings.

Today I am burning CD's of my Christian music and will be sending them out to a few people and I have to record my song "Kansas Moon" so I can get that out. My wife Barbara is a big help to me with everything. Wishing my son Seth a Happy Birthday. He is 25 today. Wow were does the time go?
