I've been playing music and singing since I could walk. I started playing by ear on an old Lowes organ at 4. I loved all the buttons on it with all the different colors!!! Felt like I was navigating my own spaceship. My whole family is really passionate about music so I got exposed to a lot of different wonderful genres at an early age! I really love jazz and I appreciate everything I hear. I read this really fantastic book, The Mysticism of Sound and Music Hazrat Inayat Khan (Author) that stated: "before the soul takes form it is sound" ... that REALLY resonated with me and made me smile ear to ear (-: I go by Lita Flourish now because It was a name given to me by a dear friend. As soon as he said it, I loved it. My full name is Carlita but my friends and family call me Lita. Which also is the acronym for Love Is The Answer! Pretty cool, huh?
