Grampa duties called louder than the call of my 15 minutes of fame. I was on my way and got a call from my Daughter so off to babysit. I really do love to get up and play and sing in front of people. Considering my skill level i am really lucky to have a place that will let me come in and get up on stage to sing there, even three songs! It's such a blast though. There is something so powerful about getting up in front of a couple of dozen folks in a beautiful restaurant with a great sound system, two Bose stick-n-bricks, and play guitar and sing from the heart and have some other amateur musicians "get it". It absolutely rocks for me. If any of you other acoustic types find yourselves in the Orlando Area on vacation or whatever, come on up to Eustis on a Thursday Evening for the open mics at "A Third Place" and either get in on the fun or just have a great meal and enjoy some really talented musicians, and me of course! I don;t get to go every week but if you leave me a message I will make it a point to meet up with you there. It's 8:00pm to 11:00pm and the food and drinks are superb. Eustis is right across the highway from Mount Dora and they both have very cool shopping stuff to do and dozens of places to eat and drink and listen to music but this is a great place to come make your own. Lots of Nice folky stuff and a great supportive vibe. The host is super talented too. Anyway, I decided to start blogging more and this is the place for it I guess. Thanks for all the hits on the first take on Angel! I really have only been putting these up to share with the guys on the Acoustic Guitar Magazine beginners forum and that is the only place that i even post when I put something up but with all the listens somebody else must be checking it out too. Thanks so much for the support, it makes and old guy grin, it really does. God bless all of you tonight, have a great weekend!. BSR
