I have been trying to catch up on everything. First thing... TRILLIUM was released in July of 2009. With GREAT success, the album was number two for the Zone Music Reporter's top 100 plays chart right out of the block. For 3 months the album held number one position. It received nominations for Independent Musician Award Best New Age Album 2009. It also received 3 nominations from Zone Music Reporter's 2009 Awards. http://www.zonemusicreporter.com/admin/nominees.asp It was also the top recording for 2009. http://www.zonemusicreporter.com/charts/Top1002009.asp These charts are for Radio plays and Internet Radio world wide. Now I am doing short tours around the USA, as well as performing locally. Friday April 9th from 10 - 11am.. I will be on Showcase Minnesota. KARE channel 11 TV. This is in central time. I will also be performing on Saturday April 10th at the Logan Concert Series. Most of you know that I have been blogging about my current CD in production as well as funny things that happen in my life. This blog is about some amazing people that I have come in contact lately. Yesterday I had quite an interesting opportunity. I made friends with a lovely woman her name is Sabrina Bitmayl. She owns a shop nearby that has some very unique clothing items not to be found in the OC area called "Glitter Girl". I felt impressed by her genuine friendship. She told me that for photo shoots, I could meet with her Stylist , her name is Sandi Knox, and she would help pick out some looks for another upcoming photo shoot. What prompted all of this were a few close friends of mine, told me that I needed more looks. Edgy but classy. No trashy photos here.. but some that are well done, but shows other sides to my personality/persona. As most of you know.. I am a jeans and t-shirt kind of gal.. dressing up well, its like trying to make "Gracie Hart" (from Ms Congeniality) that just didn't care to dress up ( this is totally me) into this fashionista. You should see me try to walk in heels.. its quite hilarious. My calamitous self kicks in and I do face plants. Anyway, I was there at this shop for about an hour and a half, and Sandi found some great pieces of clothing including my favorite: the little black dress. This is just another step to the creation of this CD, its look, marketing ..etc. What is so extraordinary about all of this, is the willingness of these women to lend their talents in this. They could have treated me indifferently etc. But they did not. I feel extremely blessed by their hard work on my behalf. Everyone that I have come in contact with has been exceptional. They have touched my life for the better. When I was younger, I thought kindred spirits didn't exist in such abundance. Now, I have met so many that have felt my excitement for this project and they have sincerely given me so much of themselves. I would venture to say they have gone above and beyond what I have asked them to do. Thank you for believing in me and my music.. this is the ultimate gift you all have given me. K
