I've already got some sites here on Soundclick featuring the music of bands I've played with in the past. Now I've started a page for my own music exclusively (mostly Irish wooden flute stuff). Hope you enjoy it.

I've done a lot of graphic art for past bands (posters, album covers, etc). However, once the gig is over, or the band breaks up, some of this great art is never used again...a real shame! So...I've opened an on-line store at CafePress.com to sell my Celtic-music related artwork on T-shirts and other stuff! Check it out! As you know, I now live in the smallish town of Cornwall, Ontario, Canada, after moving here several years ago from the outskirts of Toronto. There are a lot of great things about my new home (lovely lazy drive to work on a 2 lane country road, low cost of living, having the St. Lawrence River nearby) but obviously the arts community is going to be a lot smaller than in the "big smoke". Therefore I was pleased to discover that this town was home to a high per-capita ratio of really competent musicians whose talent I greatly respect. Unfortunately for me, they are all pretty main stream (metal, top-40 pop, country, rock or shamrocks 'n green beer style Celtic). I haven't come across anyone doing any sort of quirky, alternative pop. I'd be interested in joining such a band if any were formed and needed a keyboard / wierd-instruments player. Other than that, I am looking to form a trad. Celtic instrumental style trio in the vein of Flook, Deseal etc. (see blog posting below). This means no tired old pub songs, in case you were wondering. ;-)

Okay, you may know about The Ovoids, a band made up of fictional sub-actual Monks, which is an outlet for my non-Celtic based music (synthy lounge-based geek pop). I just finished recording a song (called "Oyster") and it's now available on The Ovoids' site (see link on this page). It's written from the perspective of a megalomaniac super-villain who has fallen in love with the super-hero that pursues him. The song is based around the sounds of an old 1970's fake wood-grained Bontempi organ I found in the garbage one day. I nursed the Bontempi and carefully restored it. It has a great auto-accompaniment section with a really lovely sounding analog drum machine.
