Hi Scott, Sorry it's taken so long getting back to you. I've been in Canada visiting my brother. Yes, Maury was a special person without doubt. I never got to meet him, although I'm good friends with his sister, Mary. I didn't get to this continent until the late 90's. That's where I met Tom, at the 25 year Croce Fan Gathering in 1998. My wife, Margaret was co-organizer of that event, and that's also how we met. Through her I met Sal Joseph, who was Jim and Maury's best friend, and writer of "Thursday" on the "I Got A Name" album. Sal became my best friend also, until we lost in in June of 2010. Anyway, nice to meet you here. You might want to check out the new video on my "Messages" page, "No Time To Wave Goodbye". I grew up in London a few years after WWII. My elder sisters were caught up in that and were evacuated to escape the bombing during that time, along with many thousands of other London children, which is what the song's about. All the best, Ron
