I keep forgetting to tell you, but someone opened a psychadelic electronica review thread in the forums. Here's the link if you want to submit: http://board.soundclick.com/viewtopic.php?t=337218 EDIT: Man, it just now closed. It'll re-open later. EDIT2: Just re-opened.
About "Resisting Detest" intro: yes, we tend to agree that it can get a bit too tedious. Considering that the primary purpose and application of our music is as a psychoactive enhancement to certain "altered states of consciousness," that intro in particular has a tendency to produce rather interesting time-dilation experiences. We plan on recording a version 3 which will be based on our usual live arrangement of that song (more dynamic intro, more breaks, nice break-for-spaceout in the middle). You have our continued gratitude for your learned listening and the time you take to comment. We love the communication. Cheers.
@Parker Files: Thanks for the listen on the new stuff and for the critique on Frogenstein and Resisting Detest. We are both big time gamers (especially Mags) and yes we played Homeworld (great game). We're not at all into anime but Akira rocks and was quite influential for us. The "insect" sounds you mentioned are actually all frog sounds. 4 different species of frog, each with a totally different frog-song are all layered throughout that track. The vocal is a Lisa Gerrard sample.
@Parker Files: We were listening to a BUNCH of your tracks the other night--maybe it was us that showed up on your charts. Not sure however if we listened to every track because we were also uploading our own tracks and filling out profile info etc. and at some point your player page we had open got redirected during our fiddling. We've gone back a few times to listen to "3 Bottles" which is our favorite so far. We'll definitely come back and listen to the whole set and leave comments as soon as we get our profile here sort of settled and add several more tracks etc. Soon. Very soon.

Alright - listening now. Castle Frogenstein - Love the intro and all the sounds! Sounds like I'm in some kinda crazy japanese castle in an alternate universe while tripping on acid (alternate universe acid, that is). The insect-like sounds are really cool. The vocal sounds disturbing, mesmerizing, and trippy all at the same time. Resisiting Detest V2 - This is genius - reminds me of the AKIRA soundtrack - really sets a tone and sticks with it for its massive 9 min+ length. Did you ever play Homeworld(1999)? This and Castle Frogenstein remind me of that game as well. Anyway - 3:11 and onward will make me remember this track for a while. My only complaint is that while most of your intros I've heard so far are very long, this one kinda feels like it drags - 58 seconds of a 4 second loop gets tedious after a bit. I'll listen to some more later on today.

Great! I'll check them out tomorrow morning. Also - someone listened to every single track I had last night, according to my stats page. Was it you? Can't figure out who my mysterious #1 fan is.
Good to know about this site. We already see what you mean about the rap/hip hop spammers. Like most other sites we're getting hit early by a few "friend-bots" but they are always easy to spot. About who's who here: either/or but usually both of us. More often than not it is both of us sitting at the computer together (which is in our music studio) so we always use the "we" rather than "I" or "me." By the way, added that track you asked for and a few others and we're going to put up a few more tonight. We're picking out some that can't be found anywhere else. Hope you enjoy.

Also, the site's run by like, 4 dudes. Which is cool, because they're not corporate bastard sell-outs, but not cool, because they really only respond to the major issues. Their support is pretty decent, though. Oh yeah, I noticed there are two band members. Which one is this? Grog or Maggy?

Awesome. Also, yeah, for the most part, soundclick is a pretty cool place. The forums are really cool, and in there is a great community that will always be there. Hell, I even met a guy that I moved out of my house to go meet and start a band with. Going back over there some time this year to start it for real. There are a couple of things you've gotta be prepared to ignore though. Spammers, like in other sites, are here too - especially hip hop. It happens on the forums, for the most part - they come every few days or so, but the mods do a good job of getting rid of them (fairly) quickly. As for the ones on your member page - the delete button is very conveniently located next to their post, LOL.
Thanks for the comments (keep them coming). Glad you liked our offerings. We kind of figured that you'd like us after hearing your track "3 Bottles" (very cool). About our track "Miracle Side-effects", your wish is our command. We happen to have a slightly shorter version we edited for one of our limited edition albums so we'll put that up now as well as a few others. We'll try to find a few completely unreleased tracks (or soon-to-be released (hint hint)) to show off as exclusives for SoundClick.

Christ Jesus - triple post! You know what your music keeps reminding me of? Metroid Prime. You ever play that? Great f***ing soundtrack. Musically, it was kind of weird - not catchy at all/ no real memorable melodies, but it was all so awesomely made at the same time. The game was total atmosphere. Every place you went, you felt like you were there, cause the music set the tone THAT well. I think I might buy a CD from you, maybe two. Really digging it.

Just finished listening to Miracle Side Effects - damnit! Wish it was short enough to upload here! Freaking amazing track. You might could split it up at 9 minutes or so and then the rest is a separate upload? Oh well, at least you can link others to it. Again - great track. Loved the pads especially - pretty cool percussion, too!

Yeah, I think I AM interested in some more tracks by you. After listening to the stuff on last.fm, I might just have to become a fan. Cool that you network really in-depth like this. (Also caught that your performances are mostly invite-only?) And yeah, I've run into problems with genre-naming as well, and even before I upload the thing, I usually leave the genre tag in the ID3 stuff blank, lol.
@Parker Files: The hardest part about creating band profiles on places like SoundClick for us (besides the fact that our files are so big) is the "Genre" categories which are always mandatory and ridiculously limited. We always loved how Legendary Pink Dots dealt with that issue which was to tell everyone they were "undecided." We don't really care for IDM or any other sub-genre terms either and aren't sure what IDM is anyway. It just seemed like the best choice given the lack of choice. Anyway, glad you liked the track. Thanks for listening.

Hey. I normally don't get too much into IDM but As Much As Bricks Don't is pretty trippy! Added to my station. Good stuff.
