btw, I've just recently purchased one of McDuffie's CDs... it's weird to be in love with someone's music, but not with the person per se... just the music that comes out of them. It's a romantic love I suppose; it stirs all the serotonin and dopamine neurotransmitters undoubtedly associated with love, but it's targeted toward a sound rather than a person... do you ever get that? in fact, that's what happened in my joining this forum. I fell in love with someone's music that captured a perfect moment and colored everything in my life (he's on my page), and finally I decided to write him an email to tell him how much his music meant to me, but I couldn't write unless I was a soundlick member, so that's how I joined. I didn't mean to pursue anything with him or anything...just tell him that I was after his music :P

Hope you're enjoying sb! I've finally had some time now after some manuscript writing. That's what I've been working on pretty much every waking minute and averaging 3.5 hrs of sleep per night. so much for sb. What's nice about that kind of work though is getting lost in it, same like with playing violin, which I'm sure you get that feeling too... just losing yourself, your whole internal and external conscious awareness and just being, just flowing with it... Until you stop and realize how long you've been out and how truly exhausted and famished you are! :) but then when you finally relax it's that much more rewarding. Anyhow, I hope you've had time to relax.

Wanna know something ridiculous? Remember we waited after the performance to meet him without success? Well, I went to my car but wasn't quite ready to leave, and I saw him walk out... and then I swooned some more in my car, ha. I kept whispering, "Thank you so much!" (I really was that grateful) ...but ultimately had no balls to introduce myself. I thought he was probably tired after such a phenomenal performance and didn't want to be bothered by swooning silly girls :P Could you ever imagine one day someone might act like that towards you? (if they haven't already) I suppose that's the other side of musicianship we don't often think of... the silly girls (or boys).. some pubescent, some very much post-pubescent. :)
