Well it worked for my friend. He straight up called def jam A&R Rep Ray Romulus and played his beats over the phone. Now he's doing some production work with their artists. The majority of underground artists sit and wait for a label to come knocking on their door. A very small percent actually take initiative to get in contact with A&Rs and get their face. You could have the hottest sh*** in the world but if the right people don't hear, then you are stuck. Good luck with everything and try to chill out a bit. Peace.
