I have listened to Jan Hammer but I was more influenced by Tangerine Dream; Emerson, Lake, and Palmer; Yes; Led Zeppelin, etc. I grew up in the 70's before Jan Hammer became well known although I have to admit I enjoy his music. I saw a video of Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel's bass player), Eddie Van Halen, and Jan Hammer playing together on YouTube and it is amazing how good they all are, especially Jan.
