With the help of a very special friend and mentor, Derek Sutton, we have the honor of announcing that Davey Pattison will be featured as the Lead Vocalist for CrossTown's National Debut Album "POINT OF VIEW"!
DAVEY PATTISON - a brief history -
Davey Pattison was first asked by Bill Graham to come to America from his native Scotland to front the Ronnie Montrose Arena-Rock band GAMMA. Ronnie Montrose's status as a guitar legend was already established through his first band, MONTROSE. With Davey Pattison handling the Lead Vocals, they released 4 Albums and created quite a stir throughout the country with GAMMA's unique brand of high-energy rock. Davey's powerful vocals and energetic stage presence helped propel GAMMA into the forefront of America's Arena-Rock fans. But this was not to be the only milestone in his career!
In 1986, Davey was asked to join his friend Robin Trower, both on stage and in the studio, as Lead Vocalist. Robin Trower needs no introduction in the USA! His mystical lyrics and ethereal guitar virtuosity had made its mark on the country with the 1974 seminal release of "BRIDGE OF SIGHS". Even now, 33 years later, that album continues to sell in the tens of thousands of copies every year!
And Robin Trower has by no means slowed down! To date, Robin has released over 20 Albums and continued to tour around the world. But it is in America that both Robin and Davey have found their most enjoyable and successful careers. Since 1986, Davey Pattison has recorded 6 Albums with Robin Trower, and toured with Robin pretty much every time Robin hit the road in Europe and the US.
Davey has also written and recorded 2 successful solo Albums of his own; "MISSISSIPPI NIGHTS" and "PICTURES". These releases are where we find the real heart and Soul of Davey Pattison! An R&B/Gospel/Soul and Blues man at the core of his being, his star shines brightest when in his native element! And his love of those styles has brought him yet another opportunity to favor his fans with his passionately soulful vocal styling as featured Vocalist on CrossTown's national debut Album, "POINT OF VIEW".
