Christmas Tunage! Merry indeed.
Dec 18, 2007
So I decided this year that as a gift and as a musical project I would attempt to record a couple/few Christmas tunes. I'd pick 3 songs and then do quick instrumental versions of them in totally different genres. Why not eh? As it sits now i am putting the final touches on my very first mini-Christmas CD. Well, the album is mini (being 4 tunes) but not Christmas. Christmas is huge as ever... and despite the fact I am not feeling particularly yuletidean I am pleased.
The track list will be:
1) Joy to the World - Done on mandolin is semi-bluegrass style
2) Frosty the Snowman - Done punk/ska-esque. Horns for melody, and very uptempo.
3) Deck the Hall - uhmm... Some sorta dirty dance hall House/Techno electronica kinda thing i guess.
4) Silent Night - Went pretty nice and basic, just piano and a few strings. Can't really mess with this one.
So there. I hope to put them up by the end of this week.
Merry Christmas!
-Steve

...and finally we get to the beginning...
Sep 11, 2007
After what has been a VERY long year and a half of not having a functioning recording computer or studio space, I am finally rebuilding a basic set-up. No real studio, just a functional room... but still. The first set of computer parts arrived yesterday and within a week or so I hope to have decided on the other components and be putting the rig together. Gods its been a long time... I have so much to relearn, and so much software to learn the first time. The next couple of weeks are going to be pretty hectic.... but finally, after far too long... finally we get to the beginning.
