Green Pastures

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
Ps 23:1-3
I just returned from 3 weeks in New Zealand....and saw the most amazing 'green pastures'. Truly a place of rest for a weary soul. But, what is amazing about the Psalm is that it isn't the pastures that restore us -- it's the Lord, our Shepherd, who watches over us. *He* restores my soul. So, even when I'm not in a place of 'green pastures', so long as I'm 'in Him', I will always be refreshed and rested.
Oh, what a Savior!
