Latest Beat Batch
Apr 18, 2020
So recently I have been experiencing a lot of creativity when it comes to making beats - sometimes it happens like this, where I make huge - bulk batches of beats, and then have to play catch up with myself to mix them all appropriately.
I don't mind it at all really.. When the creative juices are flowing, I find that it is just best to let them flow. Not to mention I have so much time on my hand being out of work due to the virus outbreak. It has given me much time for my thoughts and practices. I have completed three projects for myself and others in such a short time, and large amount of focus.
In times like this it is easy to wear yourself out and lose interest, i combat this with regular breaks for water, and later in the evening... tequila... THC, etc. etc. Point being I'm here in the studio, and now its time I work to bring the community some new beats that have been piling up in my folders, and on my desktop. Over the next week or so I look to mix and Track out all of the beats I have in my vault and put them on SoundClick to expand my catalog, and get my new sounds out there.
This batch of beats will not be like my last, which you can find on BeatStars.com (NorthWood Beats Vol. I). On that project I used no samples whatsoever, I just had to put the time in and prove that I can make a whole project without using other peoples samples. This batch of beats however, I am working extremely fast and ruthlessly on - how you SHOULD work when you are using samples. Come on this is easy work people. Though there is an art to sampling - I am sticking heavily to splice.com and their royalty free sample database. Cymatics and Busy Works Beats drum samples and presets always have a way of finding themselves in my mixes as well.
Anyway, stay tuned y'all - Im super hype about bringing out all of this content into the public. Get hype with me and check out my page!
Much Love,
NorthWood
