Todays technical advance in music production seems like if the latest thinga-ma-gig comes out it's out dated by the end of the week. The 1 plus side is that creativity has always been the best way to keep your financial budget to a minimum when purchasing new VST and plugins. Truth is the better your equipment the more richer the sound however thinking back on producers like Q-Tip who use the basic tools to bring about the best sounds possible at the time! Compressors,reverbs,filters and even chorus effects when placed in the right mix maybe all that you need to get a richer warmer sound! Lets be real analog recording was the best way of getting that soulful sound that the modern technical advance may have stripped away.
