If you visit your child's school, and you don't see a metal detector you should have a problem. By now every school should have the same level of security. Inner city and suburban areas. This should be without exeption. No matter who stands up to voice the objection that "It will ruin our school's image." Or "Our kids aren't criminals." Because no child is a criminal until they commit a criminal act. I don't hear any objections about the children at Martin Luther King Jr. ELEMENTARY school being treated like criminals. And you don't see these shcools in the media for mass shootings. Hint Hint. These children not only need to be protected from the outside world when they're in a school setting, but they need to be protected from themselves. Set up the metal detectors. Post an armed officer at the schools. Not hard. At all. Or do more kids have to die? Anyone with an objection to that is inviting another tragedy like this one into their life.
