On June 17th, 2010 Lil Boosie was indicted on federal first degree murder charges of one Terry Boyd.[6] He also faces charges for three counts possession with intent to distribute narcotics (Schedule II-Codeine, Schedule I-Ecstacy and Schedule I-Marijuana), three counts of "conspiracy to commit possession with intent to distribute narcotics", and two counts of "conspiracy to introduce contraband into a penal institution.[6] He has stated that he is completely innocent of these charges.[7] District attorney Hiler Moore stated that the killing seemed to be "over turf" and that if Lil Boosie is convicted the death penalty is not out of the question. In addition to these charges, prosecutors believe the 27-year-old rapper may have been involved in at least five other slayings. [8] On June 28, Lil Boosie entered a not-guilty plea in a Louisiana court room. The rapper did so, during what's been reported as a two-minute hearing. While Boosie's defense addressed the fact that the Warner Brothers/Asylum/Trill rapper has several ongoing cases, they emphasized that he is not a murderer.[9]
