(im actually on the college campus comps right now haha) I'm half way there to getting certified in protools woot! so stoked on that! Hoping i passed communication tho... being that sick i focused on my music classes much more than my comm class b/c i had to chose my priorities and set em straight! Wats good everyone its PakTraxx Beats here giving ya'll some tips for recording! This is the ideal conditions you want for commercial recording... Like I said this is IDEAL so if you got some extra $$$ this is for you but dont worry I know what its like being broke ive had negative money in the bank so I feel ya'll thats why if you sign up to my newsletter i will show you how to get GOOD RECORDINGS ON LOW BUDGETS too, so sign up for that!
Your gonna want a DYNAMIC MICROPHONE for your vocals not a condensor mic! condensor mics are more for acoustic guitars, hi hats, cymbals etc...
A QUALITY MIC PRE AMP which you will find at your local music stores
Also a QUALITY COMPRESSOR which you can get at local music stores as well! When I say Music Store I Don't mean where you buy your cd's at lol....
A QUALITY EQ!!!!! ((MUST HAVE))
RECORDER
GOOD SPEAKERS!! Also you want several sets of speakers as well! You will want ones that represents lows well, mids well, and highs well, Then your main that represents all well! If your mix sounds good on all of them then you got your track ready!!
You want to hook your set up in that order as well! So your DYNAMIC MIC into MIC PRE AMP into COMPRESSOR into EQ into RECORDER into SPEAKERS!
