I have to watch what I say
after being told as a child
I have the freedom of speech
because I might get locked up or shot down
So I continue to be pressed under the thumb of these demonic figures
I dont know what freedom is
I only know what it looks like
I sit in paranoia
not because of the marijuana
paranoid my door might get kicked in
off the hendges and the locks
by the F.E.D.S. or da Cops
and its been six years since I've been on da block slangen da rock
I dont know what freedom is
only what it looks like
I watched different cultures and whole communities segregate me
because in my hood
I was minority
I know not what freedom is
only what it looks like
I was told "We dont lock people up for being poor"
then served time for not haven enough money to pay my fines
endured my walk thru hell
got out to find out
I still got to pay my fines
I dont know what freedom is only what it looks like
no longer survalanced by P.O's or D.O's
no more check up's at night
finally get off the ankle bracelet
just to find out they got me video survalenced by satilite
I know not what freedom is
only what it looks like.
